As we are close to the end of this “anything but normal year,” we look back at everything we managed to accomplish. Through all the obstacles and difficulties, we were able to keep our focus on our primary goal and get the work done with reliability and quality. Although a very challenging year, for us this year has been an exceptionally busy one. We are even more excited for the upcoming year, but until then, in this article, we will go over our highlights for 2021!
We in BREON are thrilled that we have a chance to work on magnificent projects and build up our portfolio. Depot Hard in Zurich is a project that we are very proud of. An impressive modern depot hall with maintenance and repair areas for the Zurich public transport company. The project includes urban housing with a total of 193 residential units and offers living space for around 550 people. We are delighted that we are a part of this significant project, with a very well-structured organization and surrounded by top experts in the industry. We can’t wait to see our work project into reality and, of course, share it with you.
We in BREON believe in creating a positive and lasting impact in society, so that is why we are participating in the Social Friday initiative. Quick reminder, Social Friday is a global initiative that encourages everyone to spend unproductive Friday afternoons doing something good for the community and team spirit. Our last Social Friday activity, 15th to be precise, was on 26th November. As a team, we visited our long-term partners from the Daycare Centre for street children in Suto Orizari, Skopje. We’ve spent a wonderful and productive time playing games with the kids, engaging with them and the staff, and discussing ways to help this organization improve their work and open paths for these kids’ better lives.
There is always something to do to help our society and make the world a happier place to live in. It is a wonderful opportunity to open a discussion that can lead to fresh ideas, new direction, motivation, and be able to get familiar with the challenges that people face every day in our society. The Social Friday Activity happens every quarter of the year and everyone can join. Check the initiative here and make the most of 2022!
The CEO of BREON, Fikret Zendeli, was a part of the most significant architecture Festival in Ukraine and the region as a guest speaker. For the very first time, he had the opportunity to share his views from his extensive experience in the industry with the guests at the event. CANactions International Architecture Festival ‘Homes for Tomorrow’ took place on September 18, 2021.
This year’s discussion led us to the future, focusing on the scenarios of housing developments, innovative typologies, and setting the agenda for approaching the necessary changes. We are honored for the opportunity to join this global event, having a chance to contribute and share knowledge on the subject.
We constantly strive to develop a knowledge-sharing culture in our team, where everyone can share their views and understandings. The CEO of BREON had a chance to share his knowledge as a guest speaker at the University in Kiev and Dnipro. The students took notes from his hands-on experience in this industry, the projects BREON has worked on, and the overall state of the construction industry. Also got a chance to pinpoint the importance of social responsibility and inspired the students to make their contribution to society. These kinds of events help people connect, learn something new, perform better, and become stronger as professionals.
One of the year’s biggest highlights was participation in the TEDx Zurich event. Our CEO, and founder of Social Friday, took part in the event as a speaker regarding this social initiative. He had a chance to spread the word of the ways of ‘Reinventing Fridays’ and how everyone can contribute. The main goal of the Social Friday initiative is to raise awareness for a sustainable society established as an integral part of the economic plan. It was a great event and, most importantly, an excellent opportunity to educate others on the subject, motivate and inspire them to join. Social Friday is on a mission: to change the world one Friday at a time!
Yes, our BREON team was one of the most valuable highlights of the year. We are grateful for each of our employees who work dedicatedly and contribute to our continued growth. A team that works well together can succeed together and achieve extraordinary results. That’s us! Our workplace gives a chance for everyone to share their opinions and knowledge and help others rise above and upgrade professionally.
It never felt so good to say – 2021, that’s a wrap! It was quite a challenging year, but we’ve made it through successfully. It has been a year of hard work, ups and downs, and great accomplishments in our team and work.
We are looking forward to an exciting new year ahead and hope 2022 will be a year of progress and peace for all of us. The holidays are the most wonderful time of the year, so let’s celebrate it the right way, connect with our family, help those in need, support each other.
